I'm puzzled by this part:
I relied on memories of my toys when I was a boy (a long time ago) when life was a lot safer.
Can you help me out here? He doesn't want guns yet laments a time gone when he felt much safer. What can you really believe in this guy? My first impression is that he's a teetering bedwetter.
