The Liberals Democrats cannot break this cycle of self destruction and annihilation, and they are not going to win any election again until they get ride of the delusional left wing kooks who are gaining even more control and more straight in their party. For example one the rabid left wing kooks, Howard Dean is going to be DNC chair.
Instead of learning from their crushing defeat in November 2004, they are even going deeper in the same dumb actions that caused their defeat.
We should be happy that these are our opponents, they cannot win.
The Democrats are longing for that feeling they had in the 1990s when the Clinton administration did nothing, yet took credit as the world economy ramped up thanks to the new infrastructure of the Internet, and the absence of the Soviet Union threat.
In fact, the Dems remind me of the story of the egotist who stood on the beach and ordered the ocean tide waters first to recede and then to return.
When the waters did as he asked, he declared himself to be the most powerful man in the world.
Can you imagine if Kerry had won the 2004 election? They would already be claiming credit for the economic recovery which began in 2003 and is getting stronger each month.
They can not back away from their empty ideology. They believe that what has worked in the past ( playing the class-warfare card ) will bring them back. 9/11 changed that and they are clueless.
