I think the "controversy" comes from Mexicans. Because Mexico is theoretically a "socialist" country, they don't like to admit that they have people worth 1.5 billion. Kind of takes off that socialist luster. But of course, socialism is simply another name for oligarchy (in socialism, the rich always rule, there are just fewer of them than there are in capitalism), so this should be a surprise to no one.

What does that have to do with the marriage? Where's the controversy?

These "power marriages" make me a little nervous. Ted Turner and Jane Fonda, Bill Clinton and Hillary Rodham. Seems to be a thing the leftist like to do.

I understand the drug connections, but I don't get why she'd consider a marriage to be controversial.
