Indian Motorcycles definitely had a chief in a warbonnet on the front fender that illuminated when the headlights were switched on. Looks very slick.
On another note, good riddance to the silly, plastic-clad Bonneville vehicle. Pontiac has become somewhat of a caricature with all the absurd "aerodynamic" effects that they attach on otherwise plain-vanilla GM vehicles. They will someday follow Oldsmobile down the drain.

Beautiful '51. I had a wonderful '56 Pontiac, a fantastic ride, I still rue the day I traded it in on a new '66 Mustang. The Mustang was great, but no comparison to the exellent ride of the Pontiac.

Toyota will soon make more cars than GM, and deservedly so. GM used to own the mid-sized car market; now they can't make anything remotely comparable to the Camry. Not only that, but GM's mid-sized volume car, the Lumina, is made in Canada -- while the Camry is made in Kentucky. So they can't even play the "Made in America" card anymore.
My Mom is still driving her 1988 model.

Not to mention the Buick Rendezvous lookalike. All remaining units on dealer lots should be collected and scuttled to build artificial reefs for improved fishing in beach communities.
Vehicle schematics, drawings, and models should be burned and then placed on spacecraft for permanent removal. Does GM actually meet with focus groups and potential customers before building these hideous cars? I gotta' seriously question if they do...

Yeah there is a small bulb behind the lucite that is tied to the parking light/headlight switch. It looks neat at night.
It is definitely a sleeper, a "wolf in sheep's clothing" and I look for any excuse to drive it.
Had a fully loaded late 80s version with the radio in the steering wheel, leather seats, etc. What a nice car. Piece of junk under the hood unfortunately. I called it "the old man's sportscar".

Of course, the Brand Managers that came from Pepsi and left for Home Depot have left.
Now those are cool cars. My first car was a '59 Ford Fairlane, 6 cyl. stick on the column in which I learned to drive. I shutter to think of all the neat cars I have owned, wish I had them now. Thanks for the pics.
