Current Rams gloat. Even in their worst year in 5 years they made it to the second round. And thats without a defence or special teams. Not to rub salt any more, but will the 49er's ever be competetive again?
I met Joe in a bar outside of Denver (small place off Quebec Street near the old airport) the year after he retired. We played pool (partners) for 3 hours. He drank tequila straight from the bottle, and was smoking huge cigars. Nice guy. When I had to leave, he got a T-shirt from the bar and wrote on it 'To Don.. my pool buddy... Joe'.. one of my cherished possessions.
