Thanks, CBG.
The term "disgruntled former employees" come to mind as far as some of the impetus for this search on me. However, the few folks I talked to are astonished that my screen name was uncovered - and it wasn't even THAT big of a deal, as concerns what I actually said in the post. I didn't start any rumor, I was commenting on rumors that were out there. What IS a big deal is the perception - and the fact O'Malley would have hammered the Governor over the head with me for the next 20 months.
Thanks for your well wishes. I'll be fine, of this I have no doubt.
Again, I state, the Governor had no knowledge of any of this

When you're talking about a 'Rat, it's not a matter of perception. Democrats are lower than a snake's belly when it comes to playing the politics game; for them it's a death-match. They will use any tool, any weapon, any word combination in their battle to regain/hold onto their political goal.
With 'Rats, they will take anything, even a person's repeating a rumor they heard somewhere and spin it into whatever they want (need) to further their agenda.
If the 'Rat party could spin Robert KKK Byrd's membership in the Klan as a good thing (trying to convert them from within the ranks, for instance) they would. They have no soul, they have no conscience, they have no qualms at all about lying, cheating, stealing their way to the top.
Never forget that the 'Rat party has in its ranks the likes of Ted Kennedy, Robert Byrd, Alcee Hastings, Mel Reynolds, Terry McAuliffe, The Clintons, and on ad nauseum.
The Washington Post and The Baltimore Sun are water boys for the 'Rat machine, and as such will do whatever needs to be done to destroy the 'Rats' competetion.
Finally, I am reminded of my mother's (and grandmother's) admonition to me to not repeat gossip.
