Although voter fraud is a major problem in this country, nothing will come of this.

Whenever it is clear that industrial sabotage has taken place, the very first, very first, words of the officers of the union to which the propable perp(s) belongs is "Management did it to make us look bad!"

Here, once the evidence CLEARY establishes voter fraud, you can can't on a quick public statement by the local dem organization accusing the good guys as being responsible.

We must tighten up voter quirments to ensure that only eligible citizens vote and that they vote only once. Even though this might have a negative financial impact on foreigners, uniion and minority members and those who had paid their debts to society after having served their time, we must control voter fraud; even the dems said so (at least when they were accusing the good folks).

Bookmarked.

Layer upon layer of human error ....
All of it in the (local) democrat party's favor though.

Criminal. And incompetence.

But did ANYTHING in this story imply that the local elections officials (all democrat party hacks) would be fired?

Investigated? Indicted?

When will the repubbies get serious about REAL voter fraud prevention?

No wonder they can't find Marquis Murff. He lives in Chicago and was bused in by the Dem crooks in Milwaukee. That's how they can steal elections in two states on the same day. Make that three...because I'd love to have the FBI check Michigan, too.

Vote fraud is a felony, albeit it is hardly ever prosecuted. Wonder why this article didn't speculate as to the veracity of the double voters denying they did so? I mean, would any sane reasonable person make a public record of his confession to a crime?

But that brings to this old but still sane mind a Madison male UW student, who during the 2000 election, bragged that he had voted eight times to a news reporter. Did anything ever happen to him? Inquiring minds would like to know.

a 7,000-vote gap between the number of ballots counted and the number of people listed by the city as having voted.

And Bush lost WI by how many votes?

Opponents of the ID measure say, though, that it would make it too difficult for the poor, elderly and disabled to vote.

Why? They have IDs like the rest of us do, and if they know in advance they bring their ID. If we required a purple finger, or some other stamping we could end fraud

of course, having to show your drivers liscense will make it 'too difficult' for the poor(?), handicapped (?) and elderly?..

Give me a break what they mean is it would make it too hard for democrats to fabricate votes.

Why is requiring the presentation of photo ID considered controversial? It should be mandatory. A few elections back I misplaced my absentee ballot so went to my polling place to cast my ballot. I explained what happened to the poll officials, and was grilled--in a non-offending way--to make sure I hadn't or wouldn't vote twice. Even though I'm in King Kounty, I feel better believing that at least my precinct knows how to and cares about running a clean election.

How does having ID disenfranchise the poor? the elderly? the disabled?

I bet all of those categories have to produce ID to collect on Social Security, Medicaid, SSI payments, etc.

Everybody keep movin'. Nothing to see here. Mistakes were made. It's all in the past. Let's move on. We'll never know the truth.
And, by the way, all the phony votes were, coincidentally, cast for Democrats.
