(Question to Liberals .. When did supporting and defending Freedom become a bad thing??)
To: hipaatwo; cyncooper
Well, Congresswoman Slaughter was just on CNN with Anderson Cooper. She sounds like a typical New York Democrat politician - inarticulate and short on facts.
This was part of a 5-minute segment on the Gannon "controversy", which included a report from Kathleen Koch. Cooper was fairly argumentative with her (apologizing for arguing with her because the White House and Talon News refused to go on his show). Slaughter claimed Gannon was "part of the pattern of Armstrong Williams, and three or four others, amid who knows how many, who have been paid to shill for this White House". Slaughter also claimed that according to the Washington Post, Gannon was "the only person known to have access to a CIA secret document about the case of Valerie Plame" and claimed "this shows to me that this is a man who has extraordinary good White House credentials".
Congresswoman Slaughter also said she thinks Gannon was a plant by the White House.

Sorry about that, how about a straight cranberry? Of course, you want that chaser, no problem. My MIL moved in with us once. I know.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who fell for it. I'm in good company.
You were replying to a post that was a reply to me, so I kinda thought you might have meant to post the other guy's id, but got mine instead.

Gannon himself said his was just a reporter's name.
Where?
Washington Post, sort of. See
Howard Kurtz's column on February 7:
Gannon, who uses a pseudonym -- he declines to reveal his real name -- sees a "double standard" in criticism from such liberal groups as Media Matters.

I already saw that much earlier. I don't consider that a demonstration of the allegation but I thank you for trying to help.

Now he is discussing it with Dana Milbank from the Washington Post

More interesting is that he and Karl Rove seem to share a mentor -- a largely under-the-radar wingnut named Morton Blackwell. It seems that "Jeff" also is a graduate of the the Leadership Institute Broadcast School of Journalism -- a conservative propagandist training school that was founded and is run by Blackwell and that operates on an $8 million annual budget which comes from God knows where. Aw geez.
firebrand, wasn't that a Leadership Institute seminar a bunch of us attended last year? Are you aware the we and Karl Rove share a mentor? They're going to try to use us next to take Bush down. LOL
