Clarence House (Charles version of the White House). Consent of the Queen and Tony Blair.
Sheer number of questions regarding this union. Talk about private matters. To think he openly has an affair and nobody blinks an eye.
Evidently this all brings up religious questions.
Dang, what a web they weave.
Lets get to the brass tacks, he has lived in sin, how is the church going to allow them to marry in the Church, would it be blessed by the church?
Divorced women cannot marry in the church.
Wow, this will be a news item ....

Well, apparently he has decided he will never be our King.

Well, he could abdicate "for the woman I love," disappear and leave us all in peace.

Charles and Camilla to marry Sarah Left
Thursday February 10, 2005
Guardian Unlimited
After years of speculation and denial about their relationship, Clarence House announced today that the Prince of Wales will marry his lover Camilla Parker Bowles. Details will be released shortly by the Prince's household, but early reports suggested the date will be April 6.
The question of whether Prince Charles, as heir to the throne, could marry his divorced companion has been contentious within the Anglican church. Prince Charles would become head of the church on becoming king.
Still in question is the title to be held by Mrs Parker Bowles after their marriage. One possibility is that she would be named Princess of Wales, bringing back memories of Prince Charles' first wife, Diana.

Good riddance. I wanted William to be our next King anyway. Britain generally does well with a King William at the helm.

This is one of the issues. The Church of England is changing (or has just changed I forget which) it's rules regarding re-marriage; the Archbishop of Canterbury has stated that under the new rules H.R.H. would be treated exactly the same as any other case.
It is possible (though I think unlikely) that they would marry in Scotland - the Church of Scotland is presbyterian and more relaxed about it - as H.R.H. the Princess Royal did.

Perhaps, this may be the way of saying that it will be his son who will take the throne. How can she sit next to him if he were to be the king.
Currently being talked about on CNN.

Slight correction of a common mistake. The Monarch is 'supreme governor on earth' of the Church of England, Henry VIII was 'supreme head on earth' but that title was rejected by Queen Elizabeth I and her successors.

She will never be our Queen. There are too many people in this country who won't wear it (including myself).

Wow, thank you so much for that enlightening comment. It does offer some insight of the nuptials.

That would be fine. I honestly don't care about that, and I doubt most people would.

So now...

"The man who would be King"
Actually, from what little I know of him, he seems quite likeable. I don't know much about Charles, but he didn't come off as one you'd easily become endeared to.

There's no way I'm going to join the Camilla fan club either. She's bound to get some title, though I agree she won't become Queen, and probably not Princess of Wales.

William shows every sign of not wanting to be King. Which in my eyes makes him ideal for the job...rather like his great-grandfather, King George VI.

As long as the Queen consents to the marriage (which can be assumed), and Mrs. Parker Bowles is not a Roman Catholic (which she is not); it makes no difference at all to the succession.
