Let's give the Iranian military a reason for their paranoia.

We have known all along that Iran was placing insurgents into Iraq, and trying to interfere with US efforts on behalf of the Iraqui people. We also have known their Nuclear efforts are not toward peaceful energy needs but to get their hands on a Nuclear weapon. What we do not know now is their objective in placing troops on the border, its a losing situaton for them. Surely they arent stupid enough to challenge the USA directly and militarily.

to quote/paraphrase Reagan - "Iran is not going to go to war with the United States - they are not stupid!".
what does that say about Saddam's Iraq?
To: gopwinsin04

Posers...a lot of chest beating...best to keep an eye on them but don't really pay direct attention. They are full of p!ss & wind.

Hopefully, they are content to sit there and play games..

"Surely they aren't stupid enough to challenge the USA directly and militarily."
One could only hope. I have long thought the way to keep Iran in the box was to turn Iraq into a democracy. I am sure we are willing to help defend a fledgling democracy. Of course to satisfy the left, we would have to call it genocide.

The weird beards are just itching for an ass-kicking, ain't they? It's like watching some idiot hold their hand over a flame, longer and longer each time, until they finally end up charring themselves. Why? Just to see how long they could.

What about their border with Afghanistan? and Turkey? and along the gulfs? The US isn't just in Iraq.

And Turkmenistan and Pakistan.
There's been a pattern since 9/11 of the US militarily surrounding Iran.

One could only hope. For the first few hours the Pesian Gulf might get unhealthy for our carrier groups. They have a lot of coastline to throw missles from. After they shoot their bolt it would be like Iraq.
