I don't think that any of the web sites were ever used.

Did you see my other post about what KOS is saying about Gannon?-----according to the Daily KOS, Gannon was the original source of the Valerie Plame story. Gannon asked one of his friends at state why Wilson was sent to investigate the yellowcake and his source said that Wilson's wife recommended him, and Gannon wrote about it in Talon News. The angry left has been on dogging Gannon's tail for a long time. KOS has been using DUmmies to investigate and spread the smear campaign.

I saw some other posts somewhere about the Plame tie.... That's much too tangled a web for me to unravel, I'm just a casual hobbyist. ;~D

We've been discussing the Plame angle Kos is drumming up re Gannon since yesterday.

Clearly that is a major thrust of their attack.

The actual angle they're trying to use is that in late October 2003 Gannon did an interview with Wilson and asked him about a memo that showed his wife had in fact recommended him for the trip.

The Kos/left argument is Gannon had special sources which they say must be the WH demonstrating that it was indeed retaliation.

The problem is that over 10 days before the WSJ ran an article describing that memo, too, so clearly Gannon was not the only reporter privy to its existance or content.

I'll throw in here that Gannon stated explicitly here on FR at the time that his sources were not from this administration.

They also point to Gannon being on the subpoena list for the sitting grand jury, but with the whole slew of other journalists on that list (many have testified, some refuse and are waiting to see if their contempt citations will be upheld by a higher court), that is a very lame basis on which to bestow special status onto Gannon.

You have to wonder if this hasn't been a setup a long time in the making.Gannon has been covering the whiteouse for a while. If Gannon is the "Plame" source, these outraged reporters have had a long time to investigate him and his credentials. I'm guessing they probably already did so a long time ago and have been looking for a means of tying him to the whitehouse, thereby implicating Bush and company in the outing of Valerie Plame.

All of this centers around the quest to impeach the president.
