The new study is likely to prompt similar anger.

But they're so cute when they're angry. As they slowly figure it out and stampt their feet..

OK, OK.... That was wrong--I couldn't resist. I kid... I kid!

If men think faster, that could explain the lack of impulse control....

Again, all this is unimportant.

Just because your type is less this or less that, doesn't mean you cannot yourself be better.

It doesn't mean you cannot aspire to do something and try it. It doesn't mean you are legally barred from attempting anything if you're of some lesser type. And that's the only important thing.

Enough w/the petty snide comments back & forth.

"Did I SAY?!?!?! that ADD was CAUSED by using both sides of the brain simultaneously?"

Alright. Using both sides of the brain simultaneously is not a feature of ADD, as you implied. Feel better?

"I believe we are discussing different terms.

When you refer to "genius" this is typically applied to an I.Q. which is related to mental capacity in a traditional scholarly fashion.

Intelligence, as I was referring to it, was more related to the mental capacity to survive."

Fair enough, but IQ is most closely correlated to one's ability to reason and to make mental leaps, both of which are essential to survival.

Oh for Pete's sake!

I said that using both sides of the brain simultaneously is ONE STEP AWAY from ADD! I said nothing about it being a feature, component, root cause, etc. of ADD.

I made an analogy - a statement to highlight the similarities between two things: 1) mixing rational, task-oriented focus with emotion; and 2) not being able to focus on the task at hand, as with ADD.

Please, please, please let this clarification end something that has gone on way too long!
