They've... Stopped... Thinking About Tomorrow

If you ever needed proof that the Democrats were playing obstructionist partisan politics you need look no further then their leadership, both past and present. While Senator Harry Reid and Representative Nancy Pelosi extol the evils of personalizing Social Security some troubling words have been found in the history books and the news files that should paint their faces a pristine shade of crimson, and it’s not because they just got back from Alabama.

Recently, Reid, the Senate Minority Leader, made a statement that rang ominously through the halls of Capitol Hill. When asked about the president’s suggestion that those in the American workforce under the age of 55 be allowed to invest a percentage of their Social Security payroll deduction in personalized retirement savings accounts – it is our money after all – Reid, steely eyed and resolute said that the president should forget about it. He stated firmly and with conviction, “It isn’t going to happen.”

That’s a very different tune from the one he was singing in 1999. . . . .

Harry Reid really needs a good slapping about. He is truly an anti-American dolt. And Pelosi, well, I won't go there. Suffice it to say, she needs a little slapping around, too. Despicable creatures, both.

FDR's statements need to be preached far and wide. There has never been a more left-leaning President than him.

Pelosi and company need to be exposed for what they are, obstructionists, plain and simple. They would destroy the best chance most Americans have to achieve a comfotrtable retirement.

Take a look at the city of Galveston , Texas. They, along with three counties in Texas have opted out of the SS systen. Their retirees now enjoy a retirement program that pays far in excess of SS.

This is a relatively small group of people. Imagine the size and power of a fund that included every American.

I always thought FDR was a total idiot. This part of the original SS idea was brilliant. It is never too late to learn.

The irony is, had they allowed SS to be instituted in it's original form, the Democrat party would probably still be in power, with no end in sight. People would be satisfied with life, with no reason to change.
