Edward James Olmos makes a better Commander Adama than even Lorne Greene.
Yes, the new Battlestar Glactica is impressive. This is more than better production value, it is also the result of good interaction between the actors, pacing, and the "in the action" feel of the cinematography.
Edward James Olmos makes a better Commander than any Commander of anything in any TV show I've ever seen :-).
I even like the (female) Starbuck. I really like the XO as well.
"I've seen a lot of sci fi shows and this is the BEST series I have ever seen."
I think my vote would go to first: Babylon 5 and then second: Prey and then third: DS9.
Yep, count me in as a fan of the new BG (I hated the previous one). It's intense!
My favorite series, though, remains Babylon 5... I really miss it.
I'll tentatively agree with you, but it's already starting to go off the rails with regard to the preposterous lengths Chief Terrell is willing to go to protect Boomer from scrutiny. Also, you would think they'd keep a closer eye on the "talking to himself" chief science advisor to the president.
I did like the way Adama summarily dismissed the independent inquiry board though.
BSG Bump. What they did with the Starbuck character is awesome! She actress comes across with the same swashbuckling attitude as the original (played by Dirk Benedict I think).
Start watching the new Battlestar Galactica series. I've heard this is good... I havn't really seen it yet, so i'll check it out. HOWEVER, If they use JUST ONE of those stupid time jump/paradox scripts, I think i'll just puke! This was "Enterprise"'s downfall... all those zindy episodes! |
It's okay. I'll keep taping it for a while. It's not the Richard Hatch series -- the trailer he produced ROCKED -- and it's got problems, but it's watchable. We shall see.
Which is the better Adama? Well, without Greene, Olmos wouldn't have a part to play at all.
TS
That's right!!
Agreed. The scene in this last week's episode where the Sgt. orders Adama arrested, is one of the best I've ever scene in sci-fi. I would say more, but I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't seen it.
The "Wagon Train" of the Space Age...
I am very much enjoying the new Battlestar Galactica. Can't let the kids watch it, though...
Regards,
PS: (Capt. Kirk could have kicked Capt. Picards butt, and probably would have, too, just for being such a wussy.)
