You're assuming the daghter is giving an unbiased view oif the situation. That could be a false judgment on your part.

I doubt it. It doesn't surprise me that Keyes asked his lesbian daughter to take a semester off from school to work on his Titanic of a campaign, then come home, feigning indignance, and throw her out of the house and cut off her college funding.

Alan Keyes is a showboating phony. And his actions toward his daughter are predictable. He thinks only of himself.

All of the time!!!

Keyes is following strict Catholic doctrine.

Uh, not according to my Catechism. He's throwing a hissy fit.

Brown is the transgender college of choice (whatever it means to be transgendered). My son's former girlfriend is there. It was a very bad relationship. She was a superliberal and went ballistic if anyone criticized someone who was gay. She was a strong athlete and not particularly feminine. My husband always suspected that she was a latent lesbian and suspected that once she got to Brown that she would have an announcement to make. I understand from other kids she's written that none of the guys there are interested in her, but I can't imagine what the dating scene is like at a school where one's sexual identity can be so fluid.

Marcel-Keyes grew up in Darnestown, Md., attended a conservative Catholic school for girls in McLean, Va.,

I guess it didn't 'take'. Seems like some of this could be adolescent rebelliousness. Used to be, girls got pregnant in order to 'shock' their parents. Now that that situation is no longer shocking, girls have to do other things. She knows just which buttons to push with her Daddy.

Maya Keyes is an adult. She is in no position to demand housing or college tuition from her parents. If Mr. and Mrs. Keyes find her lifestyle immoral and she refuses to change, then they are not bound to support her. The "tough love" her parents are practicing may be the best thing for her.

To the liberals and homosexuals who support her, Maya Keyes will be a "useful idiot" only as long as Alan Keyes is a public figure. Given her father's political ineptness, as recently evidenced by his ill-fated campaign for the U.S. Senate seat against Barack Osama, it is likely that he will be out of the limelight. She will then be quickly forgotten. Hopefully, Maya Keyes will learn something useful while in college so that she will not be a drain on the public coffers in the future.

What is wrong with Keyes is that he was willing to accept her putting off college to work for him and live in his home when he already knew she ws a lesbian, and only now essentially disowns her.

I wonder if he gave her a salary while she worked for his campaign.

My guess is Dad would gladly lay down his life for her, any time, any place.

He'd die for her, but he won't talk to her? I think not.

Those all-girl Catholic schools will do it every time (yes, I'm being sarcastic), but it does seem as in an inordinate number of them come from all girl schools.

I wonder why he didn't kick her out of the house during the election when this was given to him on a silver platter. Election doctrine?

There's a fine balancing act between simply letting what will be be, sending a message that I will support you through love and encourage you through prayer but your lifestyle cannot be permitted in my home nor can I support it and simply being a cruel individual. It's a tough call.

According to the article, her parents aren't speaking to her. How is that message of unending love going to get through?

That's funny. I wonder how many articles we'll ever see about Rosie O'Donnell's kids or Ellen DeGeneres's kids growing up straight (except I don't think Ellen has kids yet).

You're a CINO.

Yeah. I'm not the one kicking my kid out of the house.

So did I.

I'll ask you again. How do you know he won't talk to her?

Throw her out, cut her off, refuse to speak to her? Tough love my ass.
