I can think of nothing that would make me disown my child. I went through a 'phase' during college (mostly partying and experimenting) and if my mother had not loved me, supported (and PRAYED for me) we wouldn't have had the beautiful relationship we did and she couldn't have been the fabulous grandmother to my three children.

Was she in fact "disowned?" I can think of lots of things that would cause me to kick my 19-year old out of the house. That doesn't equate with "disowned."

P.S., I'm a dad of 4 adult kids. I'm not speaking from inexperience.
