There is, unfortunately, no surefire predictor. But our chances of getting better judges just went way up

Word is newly elected senator TOM COBURN from Oklahoma is at the head of picking out judges. Tom my friend is probably the most conservative member of the senate.

With some people, they're "true to character" for years until they're in a position of authority or power. When their coveted goal is achieved, and they're pretty much beyond being removed or held accountable any longer (unless they've committed something outrageously immoral or criminal), their stripes "miraculously" change and they no longer are what they once were perceived to be. I believe this has happened numerous times with the Supreme Court Justices, no matter by whom they were appointed (although, my guess is it probably happened more often by liberals who were believed to be conservatives).
