I pray that its CONDI! But, I suspect she isn't interested.
If that is the case, I'll have to go with George Allen.
It doesn't matter who the VP candidate is. A lousy POTUS candidate can have the world's greatest VP on the slate and it would make a difference of 1,000 votes nationwide. Can anyone imagine a VP that would have made Bob Dole a better candidate?
"Bill Frist has the charisma of a wet sock".

Funny! And accurate.
George Allen, junior Senator from Virginia, former Governor of Virginia (and son of the famous football coach). He's quite conservative, he did a great job as governor here.

That would be a dream ticket for America
And come to think of it, the GOP, more and more, represents the Nation as a whole, not a collection of fringe groups.
This seems the most probable. Franks seems like the one that can beat The Hildabeast.

Mr. Bean would be my preference to go along with Condi Rice.
I LOVE Rice and Beans.
"Who is George Allen, and how conservative is he?"

Used to Coach the Redskins. Must be old as dirt.
I've got to agree with that.
Joe Lieberman will switch parties and be the nominee. Hey, stranger things have happened.
Norm Coleman is a rising star. If he can take his home state of Minnesota, the Dims are toast.
Except for Hoover and Eisenhower, I can't think of any Presidential candidate from a major party in the 20th Century who didn't have an elective office on their resume. Hoover became Chairman of the Commission for Relief in Belgium. In 1917 Hoover asked by President Wilson to be United States Food Administrator for U.S. during war. In 1919 Hoover directed the American Relief Administration which fed 350 million people in 21 countries in the aftermath of the war. And in 1921 Served as Secretary of Commerce in the Cabinets of President Harding and Coolidge. Eisenhower was the Sureme Allied Commander during WWII.
It is true that standing members of Congress are generally not successful in winning the Presidency. JFK was the last one. However, plenty of successful candidates have held Congressional office, e.g., Truman, Nixon, Johnson, and GHWB.
Great idea.
With the exception of Grant, every general we've put in the White House going back to Washington has been a good president.
Tommy Franks is a great idea.
How bout picking two winners........RICE/BRADY !
TOM BRADY never loses a BIG GAME!
George Allen is heads and shoulders above all the others.
No way that would happen, IMO. I think Santorum has a good shot.
Allen needs to gain national recognition. He and Sanford are completely unknown in the Western states.
I know they would never win, too many RINOS..
BUT the debates would be.. well, "HISTORIC"..
When ANN advocated "NONE OF THE ABOVE" to be added to the ballots..
Maybe his "Joe-mentum" will finally kick in and he won't bore people to death with his monotone voice.
