Holland: Hindu temple under attack by Muslims

Cid Martel of Dutchdisease.com has kindly sent over this translation of a Dutch-language article.

Why is it permissible in the Dutch press to say "Hindu" but not "Muslim," so that we get a story about a "Hindu" temple attacked by "Moroccan" youth? Are we supposed to believe that Moroccans as such have some animus toward Hindus? Are we to assume that this is fallout from some border dispute between Morocco and India? (You didn't know they shared a border? Of course they do. It runs just southwest of Poland China, the famous hog-breeding nation.)

A Hindu temple in The Hague, the Ram Mandir, is frequently being attacked by a group of Moroccan youth. Young Hindus are so fed up with the situation they want to take matters into their own hands. Morrocans shove dog faeces through the mailbox and have broken into the temple twice, stolen a statue, urinated inside and stolen money from the moneybox. Mister S. Ramdhani, a Hindu priest, says: “They spit, don’t let visitors pass through, robbed two elderly ladies and then threatened them not to press charges. Our secretary was attacked with a stick.”

Ramdhani doesn’t want young Hindus and Moroccans to clash. “If groups start fighting each other we get a very bad situation. We can’t have that here in Holland.” Ramdhani is very embittered about the case. Last year he was given a ribbon by the queen for his contribution to the integration of foreigners in the neighbourhood. Every year thousands of students from The Hague come to the temple to learn more about the Hindu faith; it’s also a haven for troubled teens. Since 9/11 Ramdhani has been trying to reach out to Christians and Muslims.

The trouble caused by Moroccan youth has made a dent in Ramdhani’s idealism. He’s thinking about no longer attending the 9/11 meetings. “I feel discriminated against. Why they have to choose our temple? There is a mosque nearby. Why don’t they go over there to cause trouble? They must hate the Hindu faith. Otherwise I don’t know.”

Rabin Baldewsingh, a member of the city council for the social-democrats, asked mayor Deetman for help. The police says it’s ‘on the agenda’.

Sure it is.

The entire Western world is paying for not taking heed when the Munich kidnap-murders happened. It's spiraled out of control ever since and these miscreants think they can bully anyone standing in their way.

This one... ...or this one? Both are temples in Europe.

I live in Den Haag, I know mayor Deetman, I can assure you it is NOT on the agenda, Deetman is a known islam apologist.

How many Americans have a mosque in their neighbourhood, screaming scary cries everyday? And of the ones that do, how many are bothered by it?

Well, Europe has tough times ahead, wait and watch till it becomes Al-Yoorup, province of Arabia.

The sad fact is, while the rest of the world thinks Crusades are history, the Arabs still think it as their prime agenda. Many Muslims often confess that they have a deep desire to see the flag of Islam flying over Europe, America and India(the want to establish a 'Mughalstan' there). And if we continue our complacency, we will live to see that happen.

They are Europeans, that's why. Wait and watch, they are bound to learn the hard way, on how to elect wisely.

we don't, we don't elect mayors around here, they are appointed by the queen (who is also a notorious islam apoligist). Then you would say, change the system, easier said than done, the regents have closed off many an avenue here.

Demand elections.. File a complaint against the system with the United Nations...

Then move back to the United States, or move here for the first time. Deny the apologists your tax money by leaving. =)

Declare Holland a Republic, then fight for it.. You've got to kick out the queen, there is no use of wasting money on a monarchy when the Dutch seemingly can't afford to rid itself of its Islam problem.

Exactly. If you can't stand up to fight for your cause, you more than deserve to suffer for your complacency.

hahaha, good one :-) the queen and Kofi are good friends, or so I am told. And the heir to the throne is a complete, total and utter moron (more so than Charles of Britain), his wife works 'to improve the integration of immigrants' (BARF).

It took me years to fight off the socialist brainwashing in the schools here. I love my family very much. That is the last thing keeping me here, I often wonder why I am suffer so much of complacency, why don't I just go for it and get out. Would the USA accept me as a refugee?

Care to invade and chase the socialist oligarchy away?

Now what problems does "Morrocans" have with "Hindus"?

We Hindus are called "the jews of the orient" by many. I think thats quite true.

Such a shame. Nederland has such a rich history extending even to the Americas. She was the envy of Europe in her golden age during the Seventeenth Century. The center of some of the most rigourous theological debate and scholarship, some of the most genius accomplishments in painting, and a locus of philosophical discourse (Leiden, Amsterdam), she has fallen far in recent years...

Perhaps the Dutch are uit-tolerating themselves to oblivion. Sad. Wish I could offer some words of encouragement.
