I'm surprised they have space, what with all the wall-to-wall Jeff Gannon coverage.

Just another notch in the hide of "the most ethical administration in the history of the Republic." For those of us familiar enough with the "opposite speak" of Washington, that November 1992 statement by the Toon sent shivers down our spines.

36 months in prison that works out to be $120,000 a year plus free room and board. What a deal!

$360,000. And THAT'S only the amount they know

This is petty theft compared to how the democrats use State funds to advance their corrupt party.

FBI investigates theft at Democratic office

By Jerry Seper
THE WASHINGTON TIMES

The U.S. attorney's office in Washington, along with the FBI, is investigating the suspected theft of $350,000 in checks from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, focusing on a bank account opened by a committee employee who once was a key Clinton administration official.

Law-enforcement authorities said the missing checks — all but $10,000 of which have been recovered — were traced to a private bank account opened by Roger Chiang, the DSCC's former director of constituency outreach, who was fired from his post last month after the checks were first reported missing.

Pardon me for profiling, but when I see an Asian surname connected with Democrats and money, I'm thinking maybe -- just maybe -- there's something deeper.

Thanks for the pik. Its nice to have proof of the empowering-inclusiveness of the Democratic Party.

They're equal opportunity embezzlers.

former Clinton administration official,

Where did Clinton find so many crooks? His administration was a never-ending show of indictments and criminal probes.

And the sad thing is that the major criminals from the Clinton era are still at large, such as the murdorous Enabler-in-Chief Janet Reno.

Hmmm, if it's the right prison, the math makes sense, crime does pay,,,and very well thank you. Ten G a month ain't bad.

......Chiang, the DSCC's director of constituency outreach and a former Clinton administration official......(was) ......appointed by President Clinton as an adviser at the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), where he served as an adviser to Secretary Andrew Cuomo.....

Maybe there's another reason why this thief pled guilty to a lesser crime. HUD under Clinton/Cuomo was the most single scandal-ridden govt agency (and that's saying a lot).....hundreds of millions of HUD tax dollars went missing.

INSIGHT MAGAZINE Why Is $59 Billion Missing From HUD? By Kelly Patricia O'Meara

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has earned a failing grade from the House Government Reform subcommittee on Government Management for the way the agency manages taxpayers' money. Subcommittee chairman Stephen Horn, R-Calif., is said to be furious that HUD's most recent financial report shows the agency is unable to balance its checkbook and cannot account for $59 billion.

For most Americans, it is incomprehensible that $59 billion could be missing from the ledger of a single agency. But despite years of earning failing grades - as well as years of being unable to account for tens of billions of dollars - the Clinton/Gore management team at HUD has continued to shell out hundreds of millions of dollars to the same contractors hired to ensure financial systems are in place and working. It doesn't take a certified public accountant to see that HUD Secretary Andrew Cuomo's financial house is not in order, and Susan Gaffney, the inspector general (IG) of HUD, tells Insight, "It's more serious than you know."

This dire yet brutally honest evaluation by the IG came in response to questions about her testimony concerning HUD's 1999 audit, delivered before Horn's subcommittee in May. And HUD's 1999 audit still has not been completed even as the agency is nearing the starting date for the 2000 audit. Instead, Gaffney submitted a 14-page "summary" for 1999, providing a laundry list of systemic reasons for HUD's financial woes. Indeed, it took Insight a day and a half just to make sense of the IG's simplified testimony concerning these financial shenanigans.
