Stewart's Party (Dean, Lynne, and the Dems)
New York Sun ^ | February 17, 2005

Of all the silly stunts that happen in politics, it is hard to think of a stranger way for Howard Dean to kick off his tenure as chairman of the Democratic National Committee than to call for the resignation of the chairman of the New York State Republican Party, Stephen Minarik. What seems to have annoyed Dr. Dean is Mr. Minarik's comment that the Democrats "can be accurately called the party of Barbara Boxer, Lynne Stewart and Howard Dean." This, according to the Associated Press, was too much even for Governor Pataki, who declared that Mr. Minarik's comment was not "within the realm of appropriate political discourse."

....

As for Stewart, the lawyer convicted by a federal court last week of aiding terrorists, the New York City Board of Elections confirmed to us that she is a registered Democrat. If Dr. Dean wants to throw her out of his party, it'd be fine with us. But until he does, the decent thing would be to stop bawling about Mr. Minarik's pointing out what is an unassailable fact. And while he's at it, let his party get behind the war effort. And Mr. Pataki, instead of attacking his own party chairman for pointing out the obvious, could take the battle to the Democrats and challenge Dr. Dean to clean the filthy links off the DNC's Web site.

Pataki and Dean should just STFU.

Lynne Stewart IS A RAT, and there's no disputing that fact.

Glad to see old RINO Pataki has backed Dean on this one.

Maybe its time for Pataki to cross the great divide and become the Liberal Socialist Democrat he truly is.

I would have never heard the Lynne Stewart comment if Howard Dean hadn't thrown such a fit. He's making publicity for Republicans.

Interesting that Pataki couldn't find a way to support a Republican who criticized the Democrat's but hasn't found a way to criticize Dean's recent comments about hating Republicans or that Blacks are hotel staff.

During a meeting Friday with the Democratic black caucus, Dean praised black Democrats for their work for the party, then questioned Republicans' ability to rally support from minorities.

"You think the Republican National Committee could get this many people of color in a single room?," Dean asked to laughter. "Only if they had the hotel staff in here."

I'm sure they never meant to miss this quote by DEAN. Your tag line should have said (Dean,Lynne,Jim Crow and Dems)

Dean is a lying, hissy-fit drama queen. And a moron to boot. AND I LOVE HIM!

I was worried for one microsecond that he would actually be appropriate and helpful to the "rat" party. I obviously had nothing to worry about!

Dean has a very thin skin and he is a silly screaming male PMS victim. I hope everyone just keeps hammering away at this loser, so that he escalates hhis destruction of the democrats.

She's a criminal defense lawyer and a New Yorker, and that was before you consider that she has been convicted of aiding terrorists. What were the chances that she's not a Democrat?

Pataki took NRA $ then kicked Eddie Eagle out of NY schools. What a back-stabbing POS! And to think Repubs had him address RNC Convention last summer. What a dud.

All should email their support to NY GOP, RNC, and Mr. Minarik. We need more Republicans like Minarik to tell it like it is.

Yes he should apologize and then say I was wrong. It's also the party of Kennedy, Kerry, and Clinton. And the party of Rangel, Jackson, and _________. Please fill in the blank. There are so many stooges to choose from.

***Pataki and Dean should just STFU.***

With all due respect, I disagree (somewhat).
Pataki should STFU, however Howie should keep on talking :-)

Pataki is a jack@$$.

And he is utterly delusional to think he could ever get the GOP presidential nomination. That is as likely to happen as monkeys flying out of my butt.

Same goes for that other NY RINO, Rudy.

Howard Dean, who garnered 100% of Republican support to become the head of the DNC, has been in office less than a week and as we expected, he is already stepping hip deep in liberal stupidity.

Dean called for New York's Republican chairman Stephen Minarik to apologize or step down for remarks linking Democrats to radical leftist lawyer Lynn Stewart, who was just convicted of aiding terrorists.

Minarik said Monday that:
"the Democrats simply have refused to learn the lessons of the past two election cycles, and now they can be accurately called the party of Barbara Boxer, Lynne Stewart and Howard Dean."
Dean says Minarik's remarks were offensive, and that Minarik should apologize or resign for making the link. There is just one problem with Howie's argument:

Minarik was right.

There is a link, a very big one, between Barbara Boxer, and Lynn Stewart, and Howard Dean.

His name is George Soros, who not only famously backs the Democrat Party, but also bankrolled Lynn Stewart's defense (hat tip LawHawk, via LGF), gave MoveOn.org $5 million to benefit Howard Dean, and gave money to Barbara Boxer.

Stephen Minarik should not apologize for the truth. Liberal Senator Boxer, radical terrorist supporter Stewart, and DNC Chairman Screamin' Dean all readily took money from convicted anti-American billionaire George Soros.

Minarik's comments might be offensive to Dean, but they were on the money.
