Yep those who have never served don't know what they've missed out on and can't comprehend why we veterans get that little smile when just one corner of our mouths when those non-veterans talk silly about geopolitics and the military. Nor can they understand that a vet is a brother or a sister to any other vet no matter what the count of years between each having served. They're just CLUELESS.
Writing about this has even now given me that smile thinking of all the clueless civilians.
