I know this thread is about polar bears---but since it was brought up in the article, I want to mention what I heard on Rush yesterday, that floored me--

Already, the RINOs in congress are disgracing the Rep. party re: ANWAR---I heard that the proposal to start drilling in ANWR, which I believe that Bush campaigned on, has ALREADY been taken out of the Energy Bill because the dems have told the Reps that they won't pass the Energy bill if ANWR drilling is part of it---

In other words, the REPS are wimping out again and they haven't even gone to the public as far as I know, because I hadn't heard anyone mention it until yesterday---

I know this is off subject of thread, but I didn't know what thread to bring this up---

I wonder. It might be taken out of the Senate version, put in the House version, kept in committee, and then forced through the Senate. That's what they've tried previously, and were one or two votes short.
