I think the only thing that was missed was that the Palestinians actually held an election after Arafat died with little fanfare. I'm hoping this one does better than the last where Arafat never bothered to hold elections again, but it was accomplished without the need for the United States (or Israel) to invade, conduct massive air campaigns, etc.
