I think everyone who voted democrat was already unemployed and on welfare. Thus off work on election day and every other day !...what's she up too ??

My thought too. Just focusing on the holiday idea, I'm all for it as long as you kill off another useless holiday (like Columbus day or Presidents Day or Martin Luther King day) to make up for it.

As you say, a good chunk of the dem vote doesn't go to work anyway, so it seems like this would be an advantage for conservatives rather than your typical "on the dole" liberal leaches.

Allow ex-felons to vote. Currently an estimated 4.7 million Americans are barred from voting because of their criminal records.

Because unless the FELONS vote, Hillary can't win a nationwide election.

It sure would.

Here in Illinois all the teachers get time off to vote, all the gub'mint workers get time off to vote, and all union members get time to go vote.

The conservative office worker does not. Only those on the gub'mint teet get time off to vote here, and they all vote dem.

I hope they pass it.

We wouldn't have debacles and irregularities if the RATS would quit cheating. Was that on the list?

Paper trail...sounds good in theory but to easy to counterfit. I say PURPLE INK, or some unknown color, to be kept under lock and key with the military, who will deliver it to the polling stations 5 minutes before opening.

$500 mil.? What about the deficit???

Amen. No way does this get out of committee, let alone to a vote.

The real idea here is to make voting take place on a "federal holiday" because the schools, post office, government offices, etc. will be closed. That means all the people who get their checks from the government will be encouraged to vote. The rest of us in the private business world will still have to work that day.

This is a ploy to get out the socialist/government-tit vote. It won't work though. (IMHO)

As with every liberal idea, it will just backfire on them if they manage to go through with it.
