i've had my cat boring, fat and grey for ten years. can I marry her? we love each other.

Since 1977 I've lived with a pair of shoes that have been a very important part of my life. I want to make a special committment to them, to love and keep them for life. I see no reason why I shouldn't be allowed to marry them....

"I see no reason why I shouldn't be allowed to marry them...."

You must love them to the depth of their soles!

Good point. nearly 3 years ago, I drove almost 600 miles, to pick up my RCA2000 TV set-- something I had wanted for over 21 years. Since I sought it so long, and it means a lot to me(it is my screenname after all, why shouldn't I be able to marry my cherished tv set?) I cannot see any reason why not.I intend for it to be with me forever, that sounds like the modern, fits-all definition of marriage material, to me.

I wish I had a reference to the article that I saw a few years ago about some mid-western pastor marrying a woman to HERSELF! A self esteem thing... She wanted to be married so it was done...

No, that would be polygamy and that's still against the law.
