This goes back to how grateful I was to hear you tell the news media that you were not going to let our troops come home and be treated as they were after Vietnam.

When I heard you say it I thought it was powerful, and when I saw it on TV I knew that THAT was the soundbite of the night. It said everything - and it explained why all those people were out there. All the other issues are secondary... Americans do NOT want to let people like the Pearcy's make our men and women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan feel anything less than appreciated by a grateful nation.
