I just thought this was funny. A little slice of life in Oregon. What a bunch of losers!

Whew ... I'm glad I read more than the title. I thought for a minute one of my beloved Ohio State Buckeyes had misbehaved. They would never do that!

Jimtavis Walker, ... who was expected to be the Beavers' starting tailback in the fall, and Star Paddock, a walk-on deep snapper....

Or maybe it was:

Beaver Jimtavis and Snapper Paddock, a walk-on deep walker
Jimtavis Snapper and Walker Beaver, a walk-on deep star
Walker Jimtavis and Beaver Snapper, a walk-on deep walker

So many possibilities!

The Beavs used to run a squeaky-clean program. I guess this is what happens when top talent is brought in from around the country. The Ducks found that out some years ago. I remember that even Ahmad Rashad (then Bobby Moore) had a brush with the law in Eugene in 1971.

I think sports "stars" are just so used to being pampered that they think they can get away with anything.

Hopefully Mike Reilly can get a handle on things soon. I'm a Duck, born and bred, but OSU's legal problems reflect on UO, as well, in the minds of people in the east who aren't even sure where Oregon is.

Wasn't there another incident in Oregon with a football player assaulting a guy home from Iraq?

Wait, since it isn't the University of Miami, it didn't happen, or, it doesn't matter...

I would have thought from this behavior it was Ohio State.

Beaver alumnus here. Sharply worded note to Corvallis to follow. I'd rather have a losing football team - I'm used to it - than a prep-school for felons. There was a time - Dee Andros's day - when OSU boasted the highest graduation rate of any PAC-10 team and one of the highest in the nation. Now we have drunks trying to pay off a cabbie with a pot sandwich.

Pepperdine once had the guts to cancel its nationally-rated basketball program due to corruption. I'm leaning that way.
