The thing about "free speech" is that it is free. Ward Churchill has the right to say anything he wants on his own time and his own dime. He does not have the right to demand someone else pay him to say anything he wants when that person (in this case the taxpayer) disagrees with him.
The only public forum he has left is forcing himself at university appearances and a crackpot leftwing cable access channel.
