OR, a deliberate attempt to disguise his/her professional writing expertise with good-old-boy jargon as well as sloppy grammar, e.g., initial capitalizing rules. After reading some of MD4BUSH's posts reposted in this thread, that was my initial impression.

BUT, I don't understand any of this. MD4Bush could be one of many Troll-Moles posting in FR.

My rule: don't post anything you don't want the world to read nor anything that would disgrace your children.

Be assured: for the next four years, Free Republic will be a prime target for the pathological left and the uncredible MEDIA establishment.

Because having read the original threads, Steffen sure didn't seem to me like he needed much poking and prodding to run his mouth. "The devil made me do it" worked for Geraldine, but not for an educated man who surely knew better.

Maybe Steffen was hoping someone on FR knew more or could find out more and this was his way of asking for help with the investigation into O'Malleys rumored infidelities.

They have the IP Address and use it ... for example....to pick out trolls who get banned and sign up new to get back in and when they see the same IP Address they know. Any Moderator will tell you this.

Is there software that does it for the Mods?? Would seem almost like an impossible task to go thru every user tracking their IP by "hand"...

The left are obsessed with Rove, they view him as a "prince of darkness" the same way they've tried to smear Steffen. Note also that the user dc925er has also posted on that handle at the Baltimore Sun forum, and over there, posted an Atlantic Monthly smear article about Rove, the same one MD4Bush alluded to in one of his / her posts here at FR.

Also, notably, MD4Bush joined on Oct 7 or 8th - that was the date of one of the debates, IIRC. We know we got trolled hard on each of the debate days.

You're jumping to conclusions if you think MD4Bush himself was a reporter or Democrat operative. Remember --- the O'Malley affair rumors were posted here AND on a Baltimore TV/radio website AND on USENET and on DU. I wouldn't be surprised if they were posted elsewhere. MD4Bush could be a disgruntled gadfly willing to pump information out to whatever media outlet would print his research. Or he could have been a mole acting in concert with Democrat operatives or reporters.

Jim Robinson know more than we do, since he likely has MD4Bush's IP addresses and knows if he's really from Maryland.

I once worked with a sharp, dedicated, lib activist who apparently moved in some of the higher Baltimore Democratic circles.

She heard that O'Malley was initially discouraged from seeking state office by a late friend.

It seems that the fear is/was that, "stereotypical popular musician" rumors would be vetted by (some) MD media, and political enemies. The feeling was that they'ed cut him slack as the Mayor, but not as a gov. or senator.

Time has shown me that some of her other balto. politico rumors to perhaps be bearing out, and this recent infidelity flap didn't surprise me, either. But let's just say that there's rumored to be MORE behind the story.
