I don't know the answer to your question, but I have a question of my own:

Why didn't the insurance company demand the settlement back when it became obvious that he was not spending the money on her treatment, yet it was being spent on other things?

This seems like insurance fraud.

I have asked that question myself many times. The Insurance Company NOR the Jury certainly didn't award that 1.7 million for Schiavo to lavish on himself and use a part to get to KILL his wife. He's a LIAR. He received those funds on a LIE. In fact a series of lies. He's a FRAUD and he has perpetrated a FRAUD on the court!! I wasn't aware that Insurance Companies condoned this kind of action.
