The discussion of Paleotempestology at the bottom is the most interesting; that from 2000 BC to 1000 AD there were 3 to 5 times more Gulf and Florida hurricane hits than today.

I've notice people seem desperate to proclaim all things related to disasters "abnormal" (Particularly the apocalyptikooks).

Reality is in many cases we don't know what "normal" is.

Would anyone be interested in allowing a 33 year old semi-psychotic (but conservative) redhead to move in with them...ANYWHERE out of Florida?!?!

Man, I had enough of that hurricane crap last year to last me the rest of my life.

It amazes that 1:people think the weather is going to do the same thing at the same time year after year and

2: "worst on record!" is considered apocalyptic when we've only been keeping such records a bit over 100 years out of tens of thousands of years of weathers varying cycles
