You don't agree with all the Pope has done? Fine.
But don't spread scandal about him. Your comments make those who are not Catholics less likely to join the Faith.
I'm sure members of other religions would not like it if one of their members bashed their church's leader for a matter that is outside of faith and morals.
The Pope is the leader of the Church and he will make many mistakes in his job, just like anyone running that large of an organization would. You are supposed to obey him regardless if you are really are a Catholic.
"You don't agree with all the Pope has done? Fine. But don't spread scandal about him."
When the Pope offered our sacred altars to Voodoo priests and witchdoctors, all the news media of the world were present. The scandal was his alone, not mine. I only relate what he has done--and what he has done is scandalous. The fact that it sounds so when I repeat it, is his fault, not mine.
That is just not true. I am a non-Catholic considering conversion, and I have learned a lot from ultima ratio and the other traditionalists here. I find his posts to be eloquent and informative. In fact, since it is the Latin mass that speaks to me as the Novus Ordo does not, the existence of the traditionalist movement which includes many who share my aesthetic and political preferences makes me more likely to join the Church, not less.
If there were no traditionalist movement, if all Catholics everywhere had simply gone along with the post-Vatican II changes and the Latin mass were nowhere to be found, I would definitely not have any interest in becoming Catholic.
