>>>They have an intensely intricate sense of smell and bleach makes 'em crazy and mean. <<<<

I didn't know this!

This explains my cats behavior when I clean the floor and cabinets!

Poor cat, but there was another story of a cat going bonkers and nearly killing 2 elderly people awhile ago. I forget the details, but sometimes they can go real nuts.

Mine's a little crazy, but lovable as all heck. If she went nuts like this, I'd leave the house and see if she got over it later.

Yes, it sounds to me like it must have eaten something in the basement.

This is the most unusual thing I've read in a long time. Surely the family has checked the basement for chemicals, etc. Maybe it had an electrical shock?

I would definitely have it furthered autopsied because I'd be so fascinated in what happened.

I cannot help but think of the cat in Pet Cemetery.

Sounds like the cat was first run over by a semi truck then placed in a old indian burial ground for pets, brought back home by the father with no mention to the rest of the family regarding the semi-truck incident. Hehe...

I shot a pit bull that was attacking its owner, but never had to face this. I wouldn't have hesitated, of course, but would have dreaded the headlines.

awe..

The cat probably ate their drugs or something, no wonder they wanted it shot.

In our house this incident would result in one thing: dog food.

Here kitty, kitty...

We used to live on a river and our daughter had a totally nutzo cat. We called it the "2x4 cat" because I kept threatening to throw it in the river with a 2x4 for a liferaft. It went to a relative eventually, (long story) and it promptly ran into the woods. Months later our relative said she saw the cat (looking very healthy) about once every few weeks, for years afterward.

It musta been a "Bigfoot" relative, or?

Cat Nip used to be an inner city problem. It has now spread to the suburbs. Signs that your kitty may be a user include aggression and super-feline strength.

Could have sufferd a ruptured brain aneurysm. Or even a stroke. The cat could have been confused from brain trauma and was scared out of its wits.

Is this your cat? If a cat ever goes nuts in my house....

Uf our cat ever goes berserk and tries to block me from passing through a doorway, it will begin to learn how to fly.

We live on a LIBERAL island (Whidbey).
Recently, a resident shot a neighbor's dog as it was trespassing on his property and killing his chickens for the umpteenth time. The owner wouldn't do anything before this.

The local paper crucified him for the "barbaric act", and his business went down the tubes as a result.

What liberal crap.

"The officer shot the cat square in the chest with his Beretta .40-calibre handgun."
"An autopsy to determine the exact cause of the animal’s behaviour is not scheduled, however."

Am I the only one that finds this rather bizarre.
