Liberals Out To Hook Voters (LEGALIZED PROSTITUTION!!)

FEDERAL GRITS will be asked to support legalizing prostitution when they gather for their convention in Ottawa next week, Sun Media has learned. A resolution prepared by Young Liberals calls for the removal of the Criminal Code offence of communicating for the purposes of sex in return for money.

'IT'S A GREAT IDEA'

"The sex trade is a profession central to the subsistence of many Canadian citizens" and the fear of being charged drives hookers into "dangerous and harmful locations," the resolution reads.

If passed by Liberal delegates, it would urge the federal government to remove Section 213 of the Criminal Code, dealing with solicitation.

"It's a great idea," said Grit Senator Mac Harb, who has long supported decriminalizing the world's oldest profession and giving municipalities the power to license and regulate brothels in designated red-light districts.

"I think you will solve a problem that isn't going to go away," Harb said.

In 2003 there were nearly 6,000 prostitution-related charges filed in Canada.

notice no mention on the inevitable spread of diseases, illegitimate childborths, abortions, etc...

look at germany - if a young womsn DOESN'T become a prostitute, she loses her unemployment benifits!

Our government keeps getting more and more insane, they're following our Euro friends into the gutter.

Problem with heroin users? Give them free clean needles.

Unwanted pregnancies amongst teens? Legalise abortion.

Problem with too many prostitution related charges? Legalise Prostitution, then the courts don't have to deal with it.

STDs amongst our youth? Give them free condoms

Too many marijuana related charges? Decriminilise it.

0.01% of the Gay population are in a monogomous relationship? Make sure they can marry.

Not enough visible minorities getting hired? Discriminate against whites.

Muslims come and want to practice their questionable religious laws? Accomodate stonings and woman beating by adopting their law.

Sikh wants to join the Mounties? Abandon our tradition and discard the Stetson hat for a turban.

The list goes on, but you get the drift.

This could just as easily affect men. Brothels and escort services in Germany have the right to search unemployment rolls to find people they want to hire. Why wouldn't "gay" escort services do this?

Just think of it... a fourteen year old kid can marry a homosexual while smoking a big joint, then celebrate by hiring a couple of whores for the reception. Oh, and don't worry about pregnancy, that same kid can get a partial-birth abortion in the 8th month without parental consent. What a party, gosh I'm so proud to be a Canadian these days!!!

Ooo, ooo I want to play too....

Too many inmates using dirty tattoo needles in jail... no problem, let's spend $3.7 million of the taxpayers' dollars to subsidize prison tattoo sessions!!

And why not, prostitution guarentees full employment for women. If a man has $20 in his pocket for food or sex, guess which one he will choose.

It sure is. Anybody (over the age of 14) can have an abortion at any stage in their pregnancy paid for by the taxpayers, no questions asked.

Ummm, it's legal in Nevada, part of the USA. Maybe you better start your house cleaning in your own house.

Sounds like you may be referring to the snopes.com "debunking" of the Telegraph story. The Snopes one smelled like really bad cheese to me, so I tried to to check out all their links. My attempt dead-ended in an incomprehensible babelfish translation of one of their links to an article written in German.

Snopes conceeded that there were "isolated incidents", so there remains only the question of how widespread the practice is.

I'd be interested to see any other source of the debunking than Snopes, or a complete analysis of the Snopes material including adequate English translations of all their references.
