A judge today refused to release Lea Fastow, the wife of Enron's Andrew Fastow, from prison early. Details to come.
TOPICS: Business/Economy; Crime/Corruption; News/Current Events; US: Texas
KEYWORDS: enron; fastow
Andy Fastow is the focal point of Enron's fraud. A judge initially refused a plea deal between the prosecutor and Lea Fastow's defense team because the prosecutor did not ask for enough prison time for Lea Fastow. Lea Fastow has already served more time than the prosecutor originally requested. Now she must serve more.
Let's hope that this means that Andy Fastow will spend a long time locked up.

My question remains: What did Krugman know and when did he know it? If Lea ratted Paulie out, I'd have her released tomorrow.

I believe Andy Fastow has to serve 10 years before parole eligibility kicks in.
