I wonder what would happen if the parents offered Michael money i he would walk away. I'd be glad to give money to michael just to prove he is all about the money and nothing more!
They have done that. It is not about money (only), it's about blood-thirstiness.
Basically, he wasn't about to watch the gravy train leave the station. I would find that somewhat acceptable evidence, it's common enough of a situation. The "not consistent with just a fall", wouldn't carry as much weight, anything interpretational, like that, is being condescending. It's sort of like, "We're from the government, trust us.", it's too vague. Especially a year after the fact. Would you want to be judged or have your children judged on that type of "evidence". If something looked like it was done by say, a baseball bat, say a baseball bat, not "inconsistent with a fall".
My understanding of the situation was something transpired that caused her to have a heart attack, which went untreated, which led to the coma. Thanks for your info.
The only "winners" when this is all finished will be the lawyers, as usual.
Calling her "brain-damaged" makes it sound like she fell down the stairs and bumped her head. She is, and has been for years, brain dead.
Well, if it isn't about the money than Michael just has something to hide. I think he tried to kill her and still is, and might succeed.
Really? That IS hopeful! Sounds a lot like the judge is looking for a way to extricate himself without reversing himself. If "new" evidence helps him to slip out the back, jack---then new evidence he must find.
Terri is not brain dead. Her eyes open and I saw a video of her on TV tonight where her eyes were following a balloon as it went over her head. Brain Dead people can't do that! I've seen brain dead people for myself in the ICU at East texas Medical Center in Tyler and it wasn't pretty. terri looks nothing like these brain dead people I saw!
This is the straw that should break the camel's back! By what definition is this considered "honoring your father and mother"? This guy is much more evil than i could imagine. And he wants a Catholic wedding with his 'mistress'? The chutzpah of this scum of the earth has NO boundries!
Yeah, that is a hopeful response from the judge. I just wonder what new medical evidance there is that the judge hasn't already seen.
Bone scans taken in 1991, which showed Terri with broken bones all over her body and Michael's subsequent actions in this case. After he received 1.7 million dollars in a lawsuit against a doctor who treated Terri, instead of using it for her rehabilitation and care, as he had promised, he stopped her rehabilitation and eventually began to push for her starvation and death, with immediate cremation (to destroy the evidence of his crime)to follow.
Even if you are NOT "certain" of Michael's guilt, the scan revealing all Terri's broken bones and some of Michael's other actions, should be enough to convince anyone that an investigation is warranted.
How do you come to that conclusion?
My disabilities are more spiritual in nature than any physical ones I may have. However, I have recovered from serious injury and was disabled for a time, though it was due to an accident and not a disease. Therapy and time were two important things I needed, as well as the love and encouragement of my family and friends.
However, you didn't answer my question. I asked whether or not you think people who are disabled have dignity. I think they do have dignity. I do not understand your earlier comment about living with dignity. You made it sound like Terri doesn't have dignity because she is disabled.
This is getting better. Of course, if Greer does change course, it'll be because of the public outcry. Greer has long since heard all the arguments in Terri's favor. Nothing omitted except maybe Horton Hears A Who. Either he knows there's a person in there, or he doesn't care to know. But if there are rumblings of career damage, THAT is new evidence to Greer and sufficient cause to reevaluate Terri's guardian.

OMG....doctor on Greta explaining what Terri will go through while being starved and dehydrated. Horrible death.
This is insane.
