Michael and Terri Schiavo, like Norma McCorvey and her aborted child in Texas 30 years ago...

I'm fairly certain that Ms. McCorvey did not abort that child. She has also become quite pro-life--her change of heart is a very amazing story. You are right in that Ms. McCorvey was a pawn, and things she has written make me believe that she believes so, too. Michael, however, is no pawn. He is a willing participant, doing everything he can to foist upon us this brave new world where the less than perfect are not forced to live their obviously miserable lives.

Michael Schiavo's actions may be motivated by fear of exposure of his own responsibility for Terri's current condition. However, it is also possible that he may be rewarded financially for staying the course. Do not doubt that there are wealthy men in this country who want to see her die in order to promote their euthanasia agenda. They are aware that pro-life forces have rallied around her. They are betting that Governor Bush, the Florida Legislature, and the Catholic bishops will stand down in the end when and if Terri's parents run out of judicial appeals.

I agree that Michael Schiavo is a willing participant, but he is still a mere foot soldier in the army of death, hardly its kingpin.
