We ask Lord, that you guide the leaders of our great country in all of their decisions. The burden that has been placed on their shoulders is overwhelming. We ask that with Your infinite wisdom You guide them gently to the right decision.

Protect and guide our military Oh Lord; strengthen them in their trials; give them courage to fact the perils which beset them; and grant them a sense of your abiding presence wherever they may be; through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Below are names of some of our FReepers' loved ones who are serving our country. As we pray for them, we pray also for all our nation’s leaders, all military personnel and their families and friends. May God hold them close to His heart.

Each Thursday as I open the latest Two Cents, I wonder if some day it's just going to be an okay essay - nothing unusually humorous or outstanding - and each week as I start to read it, I know that *this* isn't going to be the day. I don't know how anyone can consistently write as entertainingly as you do, John!

As if the words aren't enough, the three of you who present these week after week do so much to enhance those words and make it even that much more entertaining. I love the images you all find to show exactly what and/or who he's writing about this week!

I Thought this Portion of a Sentence Beautifully Illustrates the Culmination of the whole Doug Wead Episode: "Bush, the first President in history to smell like a rose after release of secret tapes."
