In response to the public disgrace and ruin of New York Times editor Howell Raines, CBS anchor Dan Rather and CNN news director Eason Jordan, liberals are directing their fury at the blogs. Once derided as people sitting around their living rooms in pajamas, now obscure writers for unknown Web sites are coming under more intensive background checks than CIA agents...How did Gary Hartpence, Billy Blythe and John Kohn (Gary Hart, Bill Clinton and John Kerry) run for president under invented names? Admittedly, these men were not reporters for the prestigious "Talon News" service; they were merely Democrats running for president.

Please don't take offense. No ill will is intended towards you, but this was posted twice previously. Click on my search link a few paragraphs down to find the previous posting(s) of this.

If you did search before posting and it didn't work right, I understand. It may happen sometimes.

The best way to search to avoid duplicate posts is as follows. Go to http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/search . You may want to bookmark for future use. Use one or more important words (if searching an individual word, it MUST have more than 3 letters) from the title, select "quick" (unless the article is quite old and you seek a thread from more than about a month ago, select "match all words," select "order by post time," and click search.

If the title words are common words and you get too many false hits or if the search results show about 20 threads and do not include results from before the date that the article was available, it's better to use 2, 3, 4 or more words.

If you did not perform a search, please be so kind as to search before posting a new thread. Thanks!

To avoid duplicate posts, please search before posting. The best method to search is to pick a key word or two from the title. If the article you are posting is, "Funny Video, This Land", start with 'Land' for the key word. If it is a hot topic, you might want to use two or more keywords, in this case, try 'Jib'. For an effective search, select 'match any words' and select 'order by post time'.
