As a 27-year-veteran of the Border Patrol, Charles Kothmann says he knows all too well restrictions being placed on todays agents, "They don't want you going on job sites. They don't want you going to places of residence. The only place they want you to get them is if they're in transit going back and forth between someplace."
And even then Kothmann says, the only way the aliens are held is if they are felons already convicted of a crime, "If the State Police stopped one driving down the highway with a load of dope in the back end who had hijacked the car back in Orange, TX and beat somebody up and taken the automobile and he gets arrested and put in the Calcasieu Parish Jail, if he could find a bondsman or someone to post his bond then he walked it didn't matter if it was a violent crime or not. If he hadn't been convicted yet, he walked. I turned lose illegal aliens like that. They don't know where they're going. They don't know what they're doing, and you're turning them lose in the United States and you're handing them a piece of paper that saying well when you get where you're going send this card back and let us know where you are so we can send your papers for your deportation hearing and the guy's like yeah right."
Although there was nothing he could do about the system Kothmann says he did try to warn the public, "I would drive them down to the Lake Charles Civic Center at three o'clock in the afternoon turn them lose in the parking lot. I turned them lose down Common street. I would go to the rest areas on the interstate and turn them lose. High visibility areas to try to let the public know what was going on you couldn't tell them or you would be fired."
And the illegal aliens would be right back to work by the end of the day. "Countless tens of thousands of them are all over the United States right now we don't even know who these people are. There was never a tracking system in place and there just trying to get a handle on this now," said Kothmann.
sounds like Kothmann will be getting some paid time off
and diversity training
Ping.
This is a very eye-opening article. Good find, WindOracle! :)
It just frustrates me to no end that we have laws that our own government is loathe to enforce. Somethings going on here, but I'm not sure what.
sundero
shhh....
So what is new or different?
Former Homeland Security Deputy Chief Asa Hutchison gave these same orders for California after Congressman Baca-D, San Bernardino, complained that INS/Border Patrol/ICE was "terrorizing" his constituents.
Here in Phoenix, Az. at Gateway-Community College, I am dealing with a group of misfit students, school security personal, local police and feds. Involving the illegal Mexicans. hanging around Arizona. Dealing with the Dean(Phd.) of this learning institution this is my fourth meeting on issues in two semesters involving the above mentioned persons interupting my studies. I submited a short thesis on this issue last semester on "The United States" and Mexico border issue. My recommendation is to clean the streets up with these malcontents nasal cavities.
"Somethings going on here, but I'm not sure what."
I have a theory. I believe the politicians are reading the handwriting on the wall. Hispanics are projected to be the largest ethnic group in America in a couple of decades. They're just padding their resumes for future electability by pandering to the illegals now.
Besides, the globalist politicians in our government believe allowing America to be overrun by south-of-the-border illegals will certainly make a merger of America with Mexico, Central America and South America a much more likely event. Think FTAA.
Welcome to FR! Glad to have you aboard!
If he isn't fired, he will be sent for sensitivity training so that he doesn't offend any more illegal aliens....oppps.....I mean migrant workers.
I believe this agent's story but my question is who are 'they'? ... because 'they' are obstructing justice. If the politicians don't wake up soon (local, state, and federal) they are going to have a whole lot more to worry about than just getting their corrupt asses thrown out of office.
This does not jibe with what the Cdr. of the Border Patrol's Tucson Sector said last night... I wonder how much of what he said, though, was just hot air.
Today, I heard the Chief of Police in Dallas, Texas affirm that it was the policy of the City of Dallas not to arrest illegals if they found them.
Call it selective enforcement if you will but when the police will not enforce the laws of this country, we are well on the way to a revolution.
The 55 MPH speed-limit did more to create disrespect for the law than any other misguided law during the life of this country. When over 95% of the population routinely violates a law, you have little or no respect for law.
The cancer begins to grow. Now, we have Chief Kunkle in Dallas trying to ignore enforcing the laws against illegal immigrants.
And to think that the City Council thinks he is doing his job.
Did anyone post a report of how things went with Kolbe?
("and there just trying to get a handle on this now" . . . English as a second language, O reporterette?
About 99.9%.
That is why we will establish a guest worker program soon.
A guest worker program is not a tracking program. We legally admit hundreds of millions of aliens each year and we can't track one of them.
