Royal is saying there are photos within the book (he names pages and plates) that are similar, NOT the cover.
I've been googling myself to see if by chance any content photos are online.
Are the photos captioned?

Perhaps not directly copied. But if these were the source of his "inspiration" it may save trouble trying to track down an original.
