Even so, not enough of the "bad" people have been killed. Yes, the coalition has taken out several thousand. But there will be more to come.
Most likely the smart ones, the high profile ones, have already fled the country. Otherwise, as time goes on, and when no one is looking.......
It has followed every major shift of power - especially when abusive dictatorships fall. There were revenge killings of Nazi party members well into the 50's.
I suspect that these killings will continue for some time. It is very difficult to forgive someone for raping your wife and daughters and killing your son.

I agree. This kind of thing has happened in any society that has thrown off the shackles of tyranny, to a greater or lesser degree, especially in those as murderous as Saddam's. Saddam and his Baathist thugs created this culture of death. My only hesitation about it all is that I want to see a stable Iraq where violence is winding down, not one where new groups contribute to the problem. Nevertheless, these Baathist animals are getting what they deserve.

Even so, not enough of the "bad" people have been killed.Exactly. Saddam's "security and intelligence" boys have to be killed. They're not human any more.
