Authorities scheduled a news conferece for 11AM Eastern Saturday to make an announcement in the case, and relatives of the killers victims would be briefed beforehand.

Some police sources have said that a 59 year old man was arrested Friday and linked to the case by a DNA sample.

Surveillance activites gave police 'their first big piece' of recent evidence, leading authorities to a vehicle and the person of interest.

Case was dead for 18 years until perp restarted communication with police. It's like playing hide-and-seek with a three year old - you have to pop out and show them where you are or it will go on forever.

Lol... fox is so bored they're not sticking around for the whole conference:)

I've been flipping around because I lost interest before they did.

I've never seen an arrest press conference where every elected and ambitious climber in the city was there to give speeches to applause. That was really weird.

Relax. He doesn't speak for anyone...not even the majority.

It was a stupid comment, easily ignored.

I'm not watching t.v. Why should I when I can watch FR? Spares me the aggravation and helps lower the blood pressure. This is one of the funniest threads I've seen in a long time.

Husband in other room...has not been in here watching/listening but just called out during the latest round of applause "It sounds like an awards ceremony". I told him that's exactly what many others have opined.

Well, since I'm not going to learn anything from the press conference let me ask this here. Given the time frame is it possible that he stopped murdering people when his children were born and then started up again when they went to college? Just curious...

Don't you love the comment where they were thanking each other for all the support after kicking down the wrong doors.

Powerful bit of police work after all these years.

(They ain't even put the Carr brothers down yet.)

Ann Coulter is a person of interest.

Really.

Now the law enforcement has been forced into political correctness. A SUSPECT is a damn SUSPECT. Sheesh.

That was really weird.

What was even stranger, was when the police chief came up to speak, he said "good morning", and the audience said "good morning" in return.

I thought it was a church service.
