Dennis Rader that was arrested as the BTK murderer

Different bio than what you are posting...

Posted on Sat, Feb. 26, 2005

Who is Dennis Rader?

Dennis L. Rader, 59, has worked as a compliance supervisor for Park City in charge of animal control, nuisances, inoperable vehicles and general code compliance since about 1990.

He grew up in the Park City area and has lived there ever since.

He worked for Coleman in the early 1970s -- as did two of BTK's early victims.

He served in the military during the Vietnam era and worked for years at a home security company in Wichita.

He attended WSU -- long linked to the BTK case -- where he graduated in 1979 with a major in Administration of Justice.

He is married and has grown children.

So, what made his daughter suspicious enough to alert the police and volunteer her DNA?

Did she recognize the necklace police showed some weeks back?

Was she subjected to some form of binding as a child?

Both?

Looks like a mild mannered guy just from the photo, same first name as my husband and same religion. Scary that this guy was able to avoid capture all these years. Sure looks like Joe Anybody.

If in fact he did transport them across a state line it could very well become a Fed case. Depending on the strength of the evidence (IIRC there is a DNA match) I would hope they would push for the needle.

It was race, not money that got OJ off. Money can't fix anything in the court system, just ask Bill Gates and the Microsoft anti-trust case.

"Looks like a mild mannered guy just from the photo"

He looks mean to me, see other photo of him not smiling.

And I see the killings started with the killing of a family, including two kids. That'll bring prison justice for him.

"assuming he's transported a dead or live body across state lines somewhere during his crime sprees, wouldn't that make it a federal case and thereby subject to the death penalty irregardless of KS not having the big DP?"

First of all, the only one of the deaths where the victim was taken anywhere was Mrs. Hedge and there is no evidence that BTK took her accross any state lines.

Second, while there was no DP when any of these crimes occurred, there is a DP in Kansas now. It was passed into Law in 1994, but it was not retroactive.

The Wichita police detective made a statement to the public: "the bottom line is we have BTK."

Now I thought they weren't supposed to say stuff like that until after the trial and a guilty verdict was handed down?

"We have the alleged BTK"

"Man...remove the moustache, and you've got George Costanza".

LOL!!! You're right!

Jason Alexander could try his hand at drama; portrayal of BTK (of course you know there will be a tv movie).

as for BTK: Can't stand ya.
