This article says a taped message from the bomber indicates he was trying to damage the PA. It's convenient to blame Syria, but we all know militants want to damage the peace process. I'd hate to be in the PA's shoes, because they have pressure coming at them from all sides.

Syria is withdrawing from Lebanon to Bekaa valley...and is likley to get to stay their too for a while.
They will likley let next elections process in Lebanon change the landscape....but will work things from the wings to ensure that Hizbullah is not run out of Beruit.
I think Iran will tell them to back off...and wait for President Bush's term to end,...hope for a Democrat Whitehouse to come in.
Their is a real possibility that Muslim nations may adopt quasi Democratic form to get the U.S. off their cases.
here..they can use Democratic process to stall reforms..and fill U.N. with debate for the next decade.
..they are likely to form new PanArabic/Muslim defence alliances.
Iran is determined to be the last one to squeal.
Its probable they will eat their losses in Syria/Lebanon and watch Hizbullah filter out to Gaza.
Palestinians are allready tendering heavy weapons orders with Europe,Russia and China.
After Israel pulls out...Palies can have ships dock..or run weapons up thru Egyptian border in Sinai.
Israel will get hit by tubed arty...and IDF will see newer gen ATGMS hitting them.
this one could melt down and find Egypt getting dragged in.
I think Lebanons terror Club Med is going to relocate to Gaza.
Israel is too busy with Peace fairies dancing in their heads to turn over the the new peace accords.

Euro's and Russia will make Israel suffer some more as they enable terror anew with wepaons and political track interference.
Israel may have to intercept ships approaching Gaza in International water.
This all gets worse if SOFTY Democrats make the Whitehouse.
They will sell Israel down the road for the new Islamic Democracy movement.

Dunno.

But I do know that taking out Iran's nuke capabilities isn't going to be anything close to as easy as taking out Iraq's (in 1981). They've undoubtedly spread their assets around countrywide and buried them as deeply as possible. A successful operation is going to require perfect intel and perfect (and multiple) hits with bunker busters.
