Bush dodges cocaine charges as addicts rot in jail

I have heard the snippettes of the Wead tapes that references pot smoking - but I don't recall any talk about coke on the tapes?

I do remember durring the GOP primaries in '99, that there were many conservatives that refused to concider Bush as their candidate (even Jim Robinson - if I remember correctly) because of the loud whispers of Bush and cocaine use that followed the campaign trail.

It would probably upset me to some small degree if I found out that Bush did more than "try" cocaine - but it wouldn't change my overall opinion of him today.....I wonder if you can "try" cocaine - but not inhale?

All this being said - I thnk this author is taking a giant step, beyond pot smoking and toward cocaine use, which is not justified by the info that is on the Wead tapes.....but I might be wrong

Al Gore, John Kerry, Terry McAwful, Dan Rather, Larry Flynt and the NYT could not fake enough evidence to make the cocaine charge stick. Somebody would have come forward.

IMHO, it never happened. If it did, I bet it was once, and he was so drunk, he can't remember.
