The real issue is what will happen in Kosovo if Haradinaj is indicted--will the Kosovar-Albs handle this well or riot or attack UNMIK, etc. Probably the worst case scenario for Serbia's negotiating position on final status of Kosovo is that Haradinaj turns himself in and the K-Albs do nothing.
Mark, I agree with you that there were many speculations about Haradinaj's indictment, and we just have to wait and see.
On the other hand, I wanted to tell you that Kosovo Serbs will gain nothing from this.
it is far too less danger if he remains in the position of PM, and a good excuse for KosovoMetohija Serbs over not joining the interim government, plus, they still would have some satisfaction to spit any time they want over the criminal Government. As I said before, hostaged by potential Hague's indictment at any time, Haradinaj would really try to deliver something positive to the Serbs and simultaneously quite successfully play the role of a peacekeeper; tough guys will be under his firm grip. This is exactly the reason why he is an excellent "match" for Kosovo internationals.
Of course, from human aspect and point of justice, to honor the victims of his "guerilla actions", as he picturesquely wrote in his book, he needs to face a justice, though to me the one in Heaven or Hell is enough.
When it comes to Belgrade, they tend to be so disorganized that if Kosovo was a meal served to them on the plate, they wouldn't know how to eat it.
