Has the lady been charged? With what?

Was she released on bail? Why? She is armed, and suspected of multiple felonies.

I would donate to the cause, If I thought they were actually persueing this, and not just gloating.

For instance, they could file a writ of mandemus with the local court, to make sure the good lady is charged with every crime she comitted - all 23,000 of them.

The serial numbers had been removed from this gun. I believe that is a federal crime and I don't know any gun owner (and I carry one daily as do many of my friends) who would even have that in their possession. I have little doubt that ballistic testing will link it to a crime or two or three. I'm sorry, but I don't think anyone EXCEPT a criminal would keep a gun which had the numbers removed.

Not me. I want her to get charged with every single felony count possible under Illinois law, and I count at least 3. That's not mentioning the Federal laws she could be charged with.

Not only does a firearms prohibitionist get nabbed for illegally possessing a firearm, but this is some sort of gangbuster special with the serial number scrubbed off, it is part of an investigation into a series of drive-bys, and the house apparently had drugs to boot!
