Dean Says Democrats 'Not Going To Concede The South'(Reverend Dean Goes To Mississippi)

JACKSON, Miss. - Praying for American troops and evoking biblical images of helping the needy, Howard Dean told Mississippi Democrats on Tuesday night that the national party won't give up on socially conservative states.

"We're not going to concede the South," the new chairman of the Democratic National Committee told an overflow crowd of more than 900 people in a dining room that was set up for 800 in the Clarion hotel near downtown Jackson.

"The South will rise again, and when it does, it will have a D under its name," Dean said to applause from the diverse crowd of blacks and whites.

Dean, a former Vermont governor, was an early front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination last year before his campaign faded after early primaries. He was elected DNC chairman last month and is on a "red, white and blue" tour of states with long records of voting Republican.

Last week, he was in Kansas, which has voted Republican in every presidential race since 1964. Mississippi has gone Republican in every presidential race since 1980, and Democratic presidential nominees rarely campaign in the state. Dean said he'll go to Tennessee soon.

"The way we're going to win elections in this country is not to become Republican lite. The way we're going to win elections in this country is to stand up for what we believe in," Dean said.

Speaking at the $75-a-plate Mississippi Democratic Party dinner, Dean criticized the national debt and said: "You cannot trust Republicans with your taxpayer dollars."

Be for big government... higher taxes and pacifism. Not exactly popular positions but honesty goes a long way. Its time liberals are who they are. Hiding it is not going to convince people this is a movement worth joining. Whether Mad Howard can make it happen for his party remains to be seen.

The South has risen again, its running the country and has an R under its name.

Those who have prospered under Republican rule in the South should remember the days when the Robert Byrd Democrats ruled along with a few rich white old money boys.

That being said, ya gotta give Dean credit for trying. Its more than can be said for the rest of his party. If he wants the Dems to rise again he needs to know that the Zell Millers must be greeted back into the party. They however are Republicans now.

Maybe Reverend Dean could preach about protecting unborn infants with gay genes, but not any others. I'm sure that would go very well down here. Or, perhaps he should allow the choice of killing off entire categories of genetic codes among the unborn? Should parents be allowed to zap all females, for example? "We want a boy." How is he going to handle that issue over down here? And if he really wants to make nice with the south, he should walk hand-in-hand with Jerry Falwell in denouncing perverted art funded by the NEA.

The rats have problems. I better get off before I start salivating.

The "Godless society" is the scariest part. If God is in our lives there is no abortion on demand, gay marriage, no problems with owning guns...etc. All the morality stems from having God in our society.
We like to think, sometimes, that morality and law don't mix and shouldn't...but they do. An act is moral or immoral, whether it's against the law or not. Law has been based on what we have always thought to be moral or immoral, that is, right or wrong.
Even ole Plato said: It's never right to do wrong.

Dean's direction, that is, the secular left direction is WAY off the "high road."

Wow, Dean just keeps on coming up with these neo-KKK remarks. First he says that hotels are staffed only by colored people. Now he says the South will rise again. What next, reinstitution of slavery?

The South is going to rise again???????

The South already rose in the 80's and ate Vermont's lunch...not to mention the rest of New England's dinner. Perhaps the Reverend would like to recite the litany of industries, not to mention entire economic sectors, that escaped to the South as a result of New England "Blue State" tax and environmental policy . Now economic development in Vermont means attrracting droves of liberal New Yorkers to buy retirement homes and ski chalets. Yup, the South needs Dean's vision, just as much as W needs a lesson in democracy from Vlad.

I think Emerson and Lake wrote this for the Dims and the Deaniac...

Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends
We're so glad you could attend
Come inside! Come inside!
There behind a glass is a real blade of grass
be careful as you pass.
Move along! Move along!

Come inside, the show's about to start
guaranteed to blow your head apart
Rest assured you'll get your money's worth
The greatest show in Heaven, Hell or Earth.
You've got to see the show, it's a dynamo.
You've got to see the show, it's rock and roll ....

Right before your eyes we pull laughter from the skies
And he laughs until he cries then he dies then he dies
Come inside the shows about to start
Guaranteed to blow your head apart

You gotta see the show
It's a dynamo
You gotta see the show
It's rock and roll

Soon the Gypsy Queen in a glaze of Vaseline
Will perform on guillotine
What a scene! What a scene!
Next upon the stand will you please extend a hand
to Alexander's Ragtime Band
Roll up! Roll up! Roll up!
See the show!

Performing on a stool we've a sight to make you drool
Seven virgins and a mule
Keep it cool. Keep it cool.
We would like it to be known the exhibits that were shown
were exclusively our own, All our own. All our own.

Come and see the show!
Come and see the show!
Come and see the show!
See the show!

(Emerson/Lake)

So the Dems aren't content merely to concede the South, they are going to come advertise their degenerate positions and actively drive the South even further into our camp. Brilliant.

Howard Dean is the moron of the marketing world. He message is "You stupid little people are supposed to conform to us. We are never going to change our positions to match the desires of our constituents." In other words, they are going to keep re-packaging their doo-doo sandwich of a platform until everyone takes a bite.
